Rounded pintails, are definitely the best surfboard to choose, for heavier and larger waves, Waves that have hollow barrels, and heavy faces, that's when you want to pull out your rounded pintails. In California, I prefer to ride squash tales more than I prefer to ride rounded pintails, except for larger swell's. But in Hawaii, where the waves move faster and the top of the waves have more energy, the rounded pintail re-leases beautifully and has a freedom all of its own. When the swell starts to build, grab yer round pin and grab some of that energy!

Shortboards to surfers are the bottom line of many years of surfboard technology!

"Shortboards" were invented because people wanted to push the limits of surfing past the heavier, less responsive, more stable "Longboards". All surfboards are usfull { except a golden few} to enjoy riding a wave with, and they all have their part in surfing and surfing history.

Round Pin's are the all around favorite for medium to larger BOWL'S because they have more control in the tube, espessially in powerfull offshore /sideshore wind condition's and the curvier outline in the tail allow's for a quiker release with control when the wave's start to jack!
